Blue Moon Pale Moon

Blue Moon Pale Moon

This Belgian Style Pale Ale is brewed by the Coors Brewery out of Golden CO. It is available year-round and it has a 5.4% ABV.

This beer pours out a nice amber color with a decent head that laces the glass. The aroma was rather mild and contained hints of caramel malt, as well as some oranges, and clove. This beer had a sweet malty front that balanced well with the oranges, and clove found in the aroma however it did leave much to be desired. I found this beer to have a medium body and that it left somewhat of a weird aftertaste in my mouth that I cannot describe.

This is a decent beer but when it comes to Belgian Pale Ale’s I think this one falls short. I have a large place in my heart for Belgian beers and felt somewhat disappointed. I do however think that it would be a good starting point for a beginning beer drinker to get an idea at what this style could taste like without spending a lot of money.

Cheers!
