Boulevard Brewery Bob’s 47 Oktoberfest

This Oktoberfest is brewed by Boulevard which is located in Kansas City MO. This is a fall seasonal and it carries a 5.8% ABV. This beer was brewed in tribute to a man named Bob Werkowitch who was a master brewer graduate of the U.S. Brewers Academy.
This beer pours out a typical amber color and it produces a thick head that laces on the glass under consumption. The aroma is is rather light as it consists of mild hops, and some toasted caramel malts. I found the taste of the beer to be rather sweet, almost to sweet really. I found this beer to have a combination of bready, and caramel malts, balancing with some grassy hops, and maybe even some honey, or even banana.
This overall left much to be desired in my opinion. I hate to say it that way because I do like the Boulevard Brewery. I have found there to be many better Oktoberfest’s out there that I would choose first, however I wouldn’t say don’t try this one. I just think it is slightly above average at best.
