Bridgeport IPA
- Overall 78/100
- Appearance 20/25
- Aroma 20/25
- Taste 18/25
- Finish 18/25
This IPA is brewed by the Bridgeport brewery located in Portland OR, and claims to be Oregon’s oldest craft brewery. It was established in 1984 and this beer boasts a modest 5.5% ABV.
Pouring this beer out I found it to have your typical hazy orange color found in IPA’s. It didn’t produce alot of head but it did lace on the glass while drinking. The aroma of this beer was inviting and consisted of some floral, and citrus hops and possibly even some mild caramel malt. The taste of the beer was similar to the aroma and I found it to have a nice balance. I didn’t find it to be as aggressive with its hops, and it finished rather dry with a medium body.
Overall I didn’t think this IPA was decent. It isn’t a bad beer and I think they played it smart by not trying to win the hop war. Give it a shot I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Cheers!
