Charleville Witch’s Brew Belgian Style Pumpkin Ale

Charleville Witch's Brew Belgian Style Pumpkin Ale

This Belgian Style Pumpkin Ale is brewed by the Charleville Brewery which is located in Saint Genevieve MO. It is a fall seasonal and has a hefty 7% ABV.

I found this beer to pour out a nice copper color however it didn’t create a great amount of head. The head that it did create did lace nicely on the glass however. The aroma contained a great amount of spice, nutmeg and pumpkin with some sweet caramel malty undertones that I found to be rather inviting. The taste of this beer starts off with the caramel malt that was found in the nose before heading straight into some nice spice, nutmeg, and pumpkin that was very well balanced. The finish contained the spice and a bit of alcohol that warmed the belly but I didn’t find it to take anything away from the nice taste of this beer.

Overall I found this to be a very nice Pumpkin Ale due to it’s full flavor, medium body, and it’s wonderful balance. I would recommend you pick it up before it is too late.

Cheers!
