Duvel Belgian Golden Ale
- Overall 94/100
- Appearance 23/25
- Aroma 23/25
- Taste 24/25
- Finish 24/25
This Belgian beer is brewed out of Puurs Belgium that was established in 1871 and it has a hefty 8.5% ABV.
To start this off this Belgian pours out a gorgeous golden color with an exorbitant amount of head that of course leaves it lace on the glass. This beer also seems to be very carbonated with tons of fun bubbles rushing to the top of the glass. The aroma is very sweet with hints of yeast, and citrus, that I found to be very pleasing to the nostrils. When getting the pleasure of tasting this beer I found the carbonation to be very prominent. What really showed up though was a nice fruity front that balances wonderfully with a dry slight hop finish.
Putting it bluntly this is one of my favorite beers and man is it smooth for having such a high ABV. This one can really get you in trouble if you don’t watch out. It may be an expensive beer but it is well worth the money so give it a shot I dare you!
Cheers!
