Green Flash Hop Head Red - The Beer Taster

Green Flash Hop Head Red

Green Flash Hop Head Red

This Red Ale is brewed out of San Diego County CA at the Green Flash Brewery, and it has a 6.4% ABV. They also stated on the bottle that it is dry hopped with Amarillo hops.

This beer pours out a nice dark amber color with a nice off white head that laces on the glass. The aroma is rather inviting as I found some sweet caramel malts, as well as some piney hops. When tasting this Red Ale I found the sweet caramel malt to shine through first before having a slightly bitter dry hoppy finish while carrying a great balance.

I found this beer to be very nice and would recommend it. It is full of flavor and really the only knock I would have on it would be the bitter finish. I think that it could be too much for a beginning beer drinker.

Cheers!
