Haywards 5000 Indian Lager

Haywards 5000 Indian Lager

This Indian Lager is brewed with Skol Brewery located in India. It has a hefty 7% ABV and is available year-round.

I found this beer to pour out a straw like golden color with a small amount of head that did leave lace on the glass. The aroma of this beer smelled of two things to me, alcohol, and  some stale bready malts. The taste of this beer wasn’t any better as it was dry and all I could really gather from it was the 7% ABV with hints of the bready malt found in the aroma. It leaves a rather bad aftertaste in your mouth and it seems to coat your throat as well as it is rather thick for a lager.

Personally I think that if they would just lower the alcohol content to make it a tad lighter it would do wonders for this beer. I was not impressed with this one and I don’t think I will be getting it again.
