This fabulous Lagunitas stout is brewed out of Petaluma CA. It is a limited release and packs a healthy 8.3% ABV.
When pouring out this beer makes a sugar brown color that leaves a light brown lace on the glass from the head. The aroma of this beer is all coffee as the Sebastopol Hardcore Coffee really comes through, there is also a hint of caramel, and dark chocolate. This stout is very smooth and carries hints of caramel, and dark chocolate within the coffee taste. The finish of this beer surprised me as it was rather bitter with a hoppy finish. I actually found this beer to get better as it got warmer.
Well needless to say Lagunitas came through again with this fine beverage. To date this is hands down the best coffee stout I have had. Tell you the truth I don’t even like coffee, or cappucino’s. I would recommend you pick this one up before it is to late. I really don’t think you will de disappointed, I sure wasn’t.
