This Double IPA is brewed by the Odell Brewery located in Fort Collins CO. This fine brew is available year-round and has a big 9.3% ABV. This beer is named after Myrcene which is a component of essential oils located in the hop flower.
I found this beer to pour out a nice orange color with a thick white head that retained beautifully and laced on the glass. The aroma was full of floral, and citrus hops as well as some sweet malt. The initial taste starts you off with that sweet caramel malt found in the aroma before the floral, and citrus hops take over your palate. It finishes up slightly bitter with some tropical hop flavors while carrying a wonderful balance, and fantastic mouthfeel.
I would strongly recommend you pick this Double IPA up as it is excellent! Do not let the price scare you away ($10.99 a 4 pack).
