Old Dominion Cherry Blossom Lager

Old Dominion Cherry Blossom Lager

This Lager is brewed by the Old Dominion Brewery which is out of Dover DE and founded in 1989. This is a Spring Seasonal and it has a nice 5.2% ABV.

Cherry Blossom pours out a nice cloudy red color that produced a decent amount of head that laced the glass. There was also quite a bit of sediment floating in the glass while drinking. The aroma of this beer is all cherries with a hint of some pale malts and it was pleasing. The taste of this beer starts off with a pale malt backbone, and then the cherries really take over your taste buds with a mildly tart finish. Now even though the cherries take over the beer I found the body of Cherry Blossom to be very light. There is also a great balance, and I found it very easy to drink.

Overall I think this is a great beer especially for the upcoming spring season. Heck I think this would be a great beer for the summertime given its light body, and full flavor. I would recommend you pick this one up if it is distributed near you. Unfortunately being in Missouri I don’t have this luxury. I would also like to thank Lauren again with Old Dominion for sending me a sample.
