This American Lager is brewed out of Milwaukee, and was established in 1844. PBR was voted America’s best beer in 1893, and it is available year round with a light 4.7% ABV.
PBR pours out a golden color with a decent amount of head, that had light retention, and light lacing. The aroma was very light and grainy, with a hint of corn malt as well. The taste of this beer is malty up front, and has a decent balance to it. The finish is somewhat refreshing and crisp but there isn’t a whole lot happening with this beer.
I think this is a good lager for a hot summer day but it isn’t something I would go out of my way for. Still you can’t deny that this beer is an American Icon and you have to give it, its due respect.
Cheers!
