PaPPo’s Pizzeria and Brewery
My wife loves some pizza like I love beer, and this weekend one of her friends was in town from Chicago. They ended up at PaPPo’s Pizza, and Brewery and while there I got numerous texts from her stating “You would love this place, and “you need to go”. Well today I took her up on that offer and the family and I went and checked it out.
So was Mrs. Beer-Taster right? She was spot on! Not only was the food fantastic, but all 15 of their beers were very good. There was nothing there that was even remotely just “OK” in my opinion. In fact I can’t wait to get back. The funny thing is, that with it being a pizza place, I opted for a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich (one of my weaknesses) and it was great! My daughters, and wife both got pizza’s and I plan on trying what we brought home, but I can tell you that my oldest daughter is picky and she loved her pizza!
Now to the beers which is the most important thing right? My favorite one, hands down was “The Monks Communion”. It is a Belgian Dark Strong Ale brewed with cherries. It was fantastic! I also thoroughly enjoyed the Hazelnutty Imperial Brown Ale on nitro, The Big Pappo on nitro, and draft, as well as the “Coved Out” Hefeweizen, City Farmer Saison, Fun In The Sun Wit, Tripel City Belgian Tripel, Josef’s Loot German Pilsner, and Mai Daddy, Maibock.
If you are in the St. Louis area, then you NEED to check out PaPPo’s Pizzeria, and Brewery. The service, food, and beer is top notch, and to make it even better, they are very reasonably priced! Check out their website here!
