Perennial Artisan Ales 17

Perennial Artisan Ales 17

This wonderful mint chocolate stout is brewed by my buddy Phil Wymore at the Perennial Artisan Ales brewery located in St.Louis Mo. It is a hard beer to get a hold of and it has a hefty 10%ABV.

I found “17” to pour out a nice black color which created a nice brown head that laced on the glass. The aroma reminded me exactly of an Andes chocolate candy bar as the cacao nibs, and mint leaves that this beer is brewed with really showed off.  This beer also shows off from start to finish as the chocolate, and mint start this beer off, and carry it all the way to its smooth finish that warms the belly with its ABV. This beer seriously tastes like an Andes mint chocolate candy bar and it is amazing.

If you are at all lucky enough to have an opportunity to try this beer, or have a friend that is cool enough to get you this beer and send it your way, please give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed at all. It is simply amazing!
