Schlafly Kolsch Style Ale

Schlafly Kolsch Style Ale

This beer is brewed at the Schlafly brewery in St.Louis Mo. It has a 4.8% ABV and is available as a summer seasonal.

To start it off this beer poured a very nice golden color and had a nice head that formed in the glass.  The aroma is rather faint however it consists of some grainy malts, as well as some citrus tones such as apples, and lemon. The taste of this beer really shows off what is found in the aroma as the apples and lemon come through with a nice balance between the grainy malts. This beer has a light to medium body to it that has a crisp and refreshing finish.

Overall I think this is a decent beer for the summer time. It did leave me wanting a tad more out of the taste but I think this beer is definitely built for a hot summer day.

Cheers!
