This fine seasonal is brewed by Schlafly located here in St.Louis and it has a 5.1% ABV. This beer was exactly one day old from being bottled and in my fridge according to the bottle, now lets see how it shaped up.
This Oktoberfest pours out a nice copper color with a thick white head that laces on the glass. The aroma is rather sweet and malty, with subtle hints of some earthy hops. The taste of this beer really shines through as it is rather sweet and malty all the way through with a nice balance of hops in the finish. I found this beer to have a nice medium body, and a great balance as well.
I would recommend this beer many times over, as I think it is a fine example of an Oktoberfest/Marzen style beer. If you are as lucky as I am to have Schlafly in your area please pick it up before it is to late!
