Shocktop Pumpkin Wheat

Shocktop Pumpkin Wheat

This Fall Seasonal is brewed by Anheuser Busch which is located in St.Louis Mo and it has a 5.2% ABV.

Pouring this pumpkin ale out I found it to have a nice amber color with a decent head that leaves a little lace and a small amount of retention. The aroma is rather light but it does contain hints of spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The taste of this beer is also rather light however it does have a nice balance and I found it rather easy to drink. I found the taste to contain alot of the tones from the aroma as the spice, and nutmeg really show through before it finishes nice and smooth.

Overall I think Anheuser got their wish when creating this beer because I think this is a great beer for the masses. There are a lot of other pumpkin beers that are better but there isn’t a whole lot wrong with this one either. I think even the beginning beer drinker would be able to appreciate it because over the weekend my family and I went to Grant’s Farm and my mom sampled this beer. She said “wow I like this it sure is good”. To put that in perspective my mom very rarely drinks any beer.

Cheers!
