Sierra Nevada Summerfest

Sierra Nevada Summerfest

Sierra Nevada brews this fine summer seasonal Pilsner out of Chica CA, and it has a 5%ABV. High expectations were to be had early on due to all the other fine beers that  I have had from this wonderful brewery. Did this one live up to the ecpectations? Lets find out…

This Pilsner pours out a typical golden color with a thick head that laces on the glass. The aroma is also pleasing to the schnoz as it has a spicy peppery hop scent as well as some sweet malty and grainy flavors. Tasting this beer was no disappointment either as it was very well balanced as well as crisp, and refreshing. The inital taste was all malty sweetness while it finishes up very crisp, and clean with some slightly bitter spicy hops and a hint of lemons.

Needless to say I still haven’t had a bad beer from Sierra Nevada. This brewery is in my top five favorite breweries and I would suggest you try this beer as well as anything else they have to offer because they do not disappoint. Pick this one up before summer is over!

Cheers!
