Stiegl Pils

Stiegl Pils

This Pilsner is brewed out of Salzburg Austria by the Stiegl Brewery and it has a 4.9% ABV. This beer was recommended by my friend Clint.

This Pilsner pours out your typical golden color with a nice thick head that really laces on the glass. The aroma is what killed this beers rating, as it was way skunky. There was hints of yeast, and hops but man did the skunyness overcome this beer. Tasting this beer gave it some redemption as it had a smooth refeshing malt front with a crisp, dry hop finish.

If you were to plug your nose up while drinking this beer would easily carry a B rating on this site. I am going to give it another shot out of fairness to my friend Clints suggestion as he really knows a good foreign beer. A big thank you to him for serving this wonderful country!
