The Fish Guys Wild Ass Amber Ale

The Fish Guys Wild Ass Amber Ale

The Fish Guys created the fine recipe for this Amber ale but it is brewed and bottled by the O’Fallon brewery located here in O’Fallon Mo. It carries a 6% ABV and is dry hopped with Williamette English hops and then aged in oak barrels.

This fine beer pours out a hazy brown color that creates an off white head that laces the glass. The aroma is rather pleasing as it a nice balance of caramel, and hops. When tasting this beer I found it to be very well balanced between the caramel malts, and hop finish. It is actually very refreshing with a nice mouthfeel  and I would consider it to have a medium body to it.

This beer is only going to be available for a limited time so if you are lucky enough to live in the St.Louis area try and track it down. I found my 6 pack at Friar Tucks on Highway K.
