This interesting beer has a 5.2% ABV, and is brewed by Well’s and Young’s brewery which is located in Bedford UK that was established in 1876. When I saw this beer I was quick to pick it up as I love some banana bread, needless to say high expectations were had.
Initially while being poured out I found it to have a nice copper color with a decent head that left a nice lace on the glass as a quality beer will do. The aroma didn’t disappoint either as it smelled just like banana bread, slightly watered down yet spicy but banana bread none the less. The taste of this beer was also very good as it carries a nice medium mouthfeel and was quite tasty. I found it to also carry some spicy and malty tones that balanced rather well but overall this is banana bread in the liquid form.
Needless to say I was not let t down. This is a wonderful beer and I would recommend you pick it up. I think I would even drive the 45 min again to pick up some more as I had to cross the state border to find.
