Hello beer world! My name is Robert and I just wanted to welcome you to Beer-Taster.com!

On this site you will be able to find out information on different beers such as the anatomy, proper glassware, and the proper beer to drink with your meals. There will also be a fun side to the site that will include drinking games, ask the Beer-Taster, and a beer of the month that will be voted on by you!

Old Dominion Double D IPA

Old Dominion Brewery is located in Dove DE and they brewed this fine Double IPA named creatively Double D. This beer has a nice hefty 9% ABV and packs a nice punch with 90 IBU’s.

I found this Double IPA to pour a nice copper color, producing a nice amount of head that laces on the glass. The aroma of this beer is packed with citrus, grapefruit, piney, and some tropical hops to go with a nice caramel, and pale malt backbone. The taste of this beer doesn’t disappoint as the citrus, grapefruit, and piney hops show up full force but are balanced very well with the malt. I found the finish to be bitter with the tropical hops showing through nicely with a hint of alcohol, but overall I felt as this beer hid the ABV very well making it rather easy to drink it you like a good bite like myself.

Overall I found this to be a very nice Double IPA and I would love to try and track some more down. I would like to thank Lauren at Old Dominion for being so kind to as send me this bottle, and I would urge you to try it out if you are lucky enough to have it distributed near you.
